DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan denied the information that the location of the Formula E electric car race in Jakarta was determined by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

The information was previously conveyed by the General Chairperson of the Central Indonesian Motorcycle Association (IMI), Bambang Soesatyo (Bamsoet). Politik Indonesia

“When is the location (of the Formula E race decided) for the president? No, why is the location for the president,” said Anies at Jakarta City Hall, Thursday (25/11).

Anies said he had asked IMI to provide clarification regarding the determination of the location. According to him, those who determine the location of the race are Formula E Operations (FEO), IMI, and Jakpro.

“It will be clarified later. Later there will be an official IMI statement, the ones that determine are FEO, IMI, Jakpro. 3,” he said.

Previously, the General Chair of the Central IMI Bambang Soesatyo (Bamsoet) revealed five alternative locations for the Formula E event in the capital city. “Sudirman, PIK, JIS, Jiexpo Kemayoran, Ancol, we will suggest this to the President to vote,” said Bamsoet in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (24/11).

Meanwhile, the Special Staff of the Minister of State Secretary Faldo Maldini asked all parties not to involve President Joko Widodo in the affairs of the Formula E venue. He emphasized that Formula E was the domain of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and the organizers. Ekonomi Indonesia
